Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit for PRN shifts.

The RN will coordinate and provide patient care, perform initial and ongoing assessments, and develop personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and families. Candidates must have an ADN (BSN preferred), a Texas RN license (or Compact with license due within 90 days), and BLS/ACLS or ALS certifications per policy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BSN preferred per job posting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients in Labor and Delivery.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and family.
• Develop an individualized patient care plan and provide family-centered teaching.
• Identify variances from the care plan and facilitate discharge planning and teaching.

Education

Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN)
