Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the new Black Diamond Free-Standing Emergency Department in Lecanto, FL. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and care teams.

Responsibilities include assessing and managing pain, documenting care, educating patients and families, and ensuring timely follow-up and safety. Florida RN licensure and ED experience are required; various certifications are expected within

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or compact license with FL RN active within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year of Emergency Department RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS, TNCC, and NRP within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training within 6 month grace period.
• National Board Certification (CEN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ED.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document in EMR.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up.
