Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department, partnering with medical providers and the care team.

The RN will document care in the medical record, respond to patient needs, and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care. A FL or compact license and ER experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active FL RN license or compact license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1+ year ER experience.
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in ER per department standards.
• Documents care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, treatment plan, meds and side effects; translates medical terminology.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up and self-management for health maintenance.
