Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Lecanto, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the new Black Diamond Free-Standing Emergency Department to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

The RN coordinates care with physicians and the care team, performs procedures, educates patients and families, and maintains accurate documentation. Florida RN license is required; ASN or Diploma with BSN preferred; minimum 1 year ED experience; relevant certifications must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license in accordance with state regulations (or compact licensure).
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year of ER RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS/ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS, TNCC, NRP certifications within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training within 6 months grace period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered by clinicians; document care timely.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and self-management.
• Provide family-centered care and translate medical information for understanding.
