Job summary

MediLodge of Port Huron is seeking a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor Registered Nurse (NATP) to coach and mentor aspiring CNAs. The role targets an RN with long-term care experience and NATP trainer certification, responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the training program.

The position emphasizes hands-on clinical orientation, regulatory compliance, and collaboration across departments to ensure quality care and staff readiness.

Qualifications

• RN with at least one year of long-term care experience.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BS degree preferred.
• Licensed RN required; NATP Train-the-Trainer certification
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Current CE requirements compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the Nurse Aide Training Program and provide clinical instruction as needed.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation to unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinate new employee job training and CPR training.
• Ensure training documentation complies with state, federal and accreditation requirements.
• Assist in department budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
• Develop curriculum meeting regulatory requirements and conduct in-service programs.
