Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry at a Tucson facility. The contract is 13 weeks with a day shift and 12-hour shifts. You must have an active RN license, current BLS and NIHSS, EPIC charting experience, and at least 2 years in MS/Telemetry. ACLS is preferred.

You may be required to float within scope of practice. Open book EKG testing at orientation is planned. Four weekend shifts per contract and a team nursing model will apply. No locals or first-time travelers.

Description:13-week contract. Must have a valid RN license. BLS and NIHSS certifications are required and must be current. ACLS certification is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is required. Experience with EPIC is mandatory. An open book EKG test will be required at orientation. Candidate must be agreeable to floating within scope of practice. Four weekend shifts required per contract. Full contract length commitment is required. No submissions for locals or first-time travelers. Staffing is based on a team nursing model with a ratio of 8:1 for LPN + RN team nursing. Solo RN ratio is 5-6 patients. Rare occasions may require floating to a sister facility nearby. Nursing care will include managing and interpreting telemetry. Additional skills include managing various lines, administering blood products, and providing wound care. Team support includes interdisciplinary services like physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The daily census averages 34 patients.
