Description:Please ensure traveler is aware of the following:Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, the unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team."There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team.Specif​ic details pertaining to pay will be relayed during each emergency event, as impacts vary.By signing your travel contract, you accept this requirement and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs.Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, COPD exacerbation, COVID-19, TIA, stroke, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and others.Special procedures performed include pre and post-angiogram/angioplasty, PPM/AICD placements, LINQ recorder insertions, general surgical procedures, EGD, colonoscopy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridement, chest tube insertions, central line catheter insertions, thoracentesis, and paracentesis.Special equipment utilized includes telemetry monitoring devices, chest tubes, and wound vacs.The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and other healthcare teams.
