Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for a 46-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in Michigan. The nurse will provide postoperative and telemetry monitoring for trauma, bariatric, abdominal, and post-amputation patients, with unit overflow for medical and cardiac cases.

Expect every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis. The role requires 1+ year of RN experience, Michigan license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications are preferred, and readiness to float as needed.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5-6, up to 1:7 during peak times.
• Active state RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a 46-bed surgical unit recovering from trauma, bariatric, abdominal, and post-amputation surgeries.
• Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips; perform wound care.
• Start and maintain IVs; manage infections and postoperative care.
• Float duties based on staffing needs; comply with Cerner charting.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry.The nurse will work in a 46-bed surgical unit.The primary patient population includes individuals recovering from trauma surgery, bariatric surgery, abdominal surgery, and post-amputation care.The unit also handles overflow for medical and cardiac patients.Every other weekend work is required.Holidays are required every other year.The nurse will be responsible for managing infections, postoperative care, and telemetry monitoring.Basic duties include starting and maintaining IVs, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, and performing wound care.Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.Candidates must be willing to float based on staffing needs.First-time travelers will be considered.Applicants must not have worked with the organization in the last three years.Compliance with professional conduct standards is mandatory.Unprofessional behavior or attendance issues may lead to immediate termination of the contract.Candidates are required to complete modules within the first week of assignment.
