Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN in Medical/Surgical Telemetry for a 13-week MS Tele unit assignment. This night-shift role requires at least 1 year of MS Telemetry experience, a valid state license, and BLS. ACLS/NIHSS preferred.

Expect 1:4-6 patient ratios on a 26-bed unit with likely travel and ASAP start. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, medication administration, charting with Cerner, and collaboration with PT/OT and pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required.
• Valid state license or ability to practice upon start date required.
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications and manage dysrhythmias.
• Chart in Cerner and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure isolation precautions and airway management as required.
• Assist with patient transfers and emergency interventions.

Must-Have:

• Experience with both adult and geriatric patients required.
• Must be flexible with scheduling; block scheduling is not available.
• RTO must be discussed with the manager during the interview.

Description:ASAP start required.Ratios are 1:4-6 in a 26-bed unit.The average daily census is 8 patients.Weekend requirement is every other weekend.Experience with both adult and geriatric patients is necessary.Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.Daily patient census averages 8.Unit is supported by interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy.Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, UTI, SBO, post-operative knee replacement, and NSTEMI.Travel experience is required.Charting experience with Cerner is preferred.Requirements include skills in cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, and management of dysrhythmias among others.Candidates should be experienced in accessing and managing ports, high flow nasal cannula, and PCA management.Isolation precautions and airway management experience are also necessary.Candidates will manage oxygen administration and peripheral line care.Experience with total joint replacements and wound care is preferred.
