Description:This position involves working on a telemetry unit.The unit consists of 32 beds with patient ratios varying between 4:1 and 5:1.The primary patient population includes medical/surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients.Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips such as insulin and pain medications.There is a centralized telemetry system, and RNs are expected to validate telemetry strips.Charge nurses and house supervisors are available on the unit.Nurse aides are present with average ratios of 8:1 to 10:1.The unit utilizes equipment such as BiPap and high flow oxygen.Self-scheduling is available, along with filling open shifts as needed.There is a weekend requirement based on unit needs.There may be a standby requirement, but no call obligations.Floating to other units may be required as necessary.The team is highly functioning and provides great support.The environment is family-oriented.No PTO requests will be accepted for the first week of the assignment.This position requires a commitment to maintaining a professional and clean appearance.
