Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for Telemetry in Baton Rouge, LA. This 8-week assignment requires a 12-hour night shift and at least 2 years of telemetry/med-surg experience. A compact or state nursing license is required upon submission, with BLS and ACLS/NIHSS preferred.

You may be assigned to an emergency team and must be able to work holidays. Expect patient ratios of 1:5 day, 1:6 night, and potential float or call duties.

Description:This role involves providing care in a telemetry unit.Upon accepting an assignment, you may be assigned to an emergency team.You will be expected to stay until the emergency event passes or be part of the relief team.Details regarding pay will be communicated for emergency events.You must be comfortable with these responsibilities to apply.Candidates must be willing to work during designated holiday periods.Holiday assignments will be based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.Float may be required based on unit needs.Call duties may also be part of this position.Required skills include managing ports, administering blood products, and following heparin protocols.You should have experience with isolation precautions and starting IVs.Additional responsibilities may include managing dysrhythmias and peripheral line care.Your proficiency with charting systems, specifically Epic, is essential for this role.References from previous supervisors will be necessary prior to starting the contract.Ensure your NURSYS report is up to date when submitting your application.Modules may be billable and will be completed during the orientation period.This unit provides care for adults and geriatric patients.You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including rehab services and pharmacy.It is important to note that local travelers are not accepted for this position.Completing any required certifications before start will be necessary.Adherence to compliance requirements is essential throughout your assignment.Be prepared to meet all necessary qualifications to ensure a successful experience in this role.
