Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in North Carolina is seeking an experienced RN for Med-Surg Tele travel assignment in Salisbury. This 13-week, night shift position offers 12-hour shifts and requires a current nursing license and a minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience.

Candidates must be able to float to all Med-Surg areas, be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and rapid response, and have BCLS and NIH certifications. Every other weekend availability is expected; first-time travelers may be considered.

Description:

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be resolved onsite.Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly lead to a cancellation.The unit handles a range of diagnoses, including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery.Oncology experience is preferred but not required.Candidates must demonstrate skills in cardiac monitoring and emergency response.Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams is essential.Must have IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including blood product administration and central line care/management.Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions and PPE.Telemetry experience is preferred, specifically in management of dysrhythmias.Professional topics to be covered in orientation include respiratory skills, specifically nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.Unit staffing ratios are typically 1 nurse to 6 patients.Daily census averages around 31 patients.Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services.Pre-approved time off is limited to one period.Floating within or near the facility may be necessary.
