Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a registered nurse on a 13-week assignment in a telemetry unit. The role requires an RN license and a minimum of 1 year of acute medical-surgical or telemetry experience. Typical shifts are 7:00 to 19:00, with 12-hour blocks and a 22-bed unit staffed by 30 team members.

Neuro or ortho exposure is preferred but not mandatory. Responsibilities include IVs, catheter care, central line maintenance, med administration, and detailed EHR documentation.

Must-Have:

Acute medical-surgical experience of 1+ years within the last year.Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time.

Description:The unit consists of 22 beds and has a staff of 30.Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses, 2 patient care assistants, 1 unit secretary, and 0-2 sitters.Night shift includes 4 registered nurses, 1-2 patient care assistants, and 0-2 sitters.The maximum patient ratio is 6:1.The unit uses standard EMR system.

Candidates with experience in neuro patients including CVA, TIA, and AMS will be preferred.RNs with a neuro/neuro-surgery or orthopedic background are preferred.A med/surg/telemetry background will suffice.

Typical procedures performed include care of medical-surgical patients.Standard nursing skills required include IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance.Responsibilities also include medication administration, communication with the care team, and documentation in the electronic health record.Additional skills such as continuous bladder irrigation and NGT insertion and maintenance are expected.
