Cynet Health seeks an experienced RN for Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) in Charleston, WV. The position is a 13-week contract with a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The unit cares for adults and geriatrics, typically at 1:5 patient ratios, with potential 1:6 or 1:7 in certain situations.

Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and angiography is required. Candidates must interpret dysrhythmias, be comfortable floating, and have weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year in specialty preferred.
• Active RN license; Compact license accepted.
• BLS/BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in IV drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, nitro.
• Cardiac telemetry experience and post-cardiac procedures experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients in MS Tele unit.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer cardiac meds and IV drips as prescribed.
• Provide post-cardiac catheterization/post-angiogram care.

Description:This is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN position.The shift is a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.You will be responsible for caring for a patient population that includes adults and geriatrics.Patient ratios are typically 1:5, which may adjust to 1:6 or 1:7 in certain situations.The unit has a variety of patient diagnoses, including acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, unstable arrhythmias, and other cardiac disorders.Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and post-angiogram procedures is required.Candidates should be comfortable floating within the scope of their practice.Weekend availability is required, with rotation every other weekend.Candidates must have experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them effectively.The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.References from two managers or charge nurses within the past two years are required.This role does not permit blocking of schedules and requires flexibility in working hours.All candidates must adhere to the facility's vaccination requirements.Please ensure that your documentation is complete for timely processing.This position involves participation in various procedures, including cardioversion, TEE, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and paracentesis.Preferred experience includes working in a fast-paced unit with high patient turnover.A good working proficiency in the use of telemetry monitoring equipment is necessary.An interest in providing excellent patient care and a willingness to engage in continuous learning are essential for success in this role.
