Cynet Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit in Colorado Springs. This 13-week assignment requires 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week.

Minimum 2 years of RN experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS are required. TNCC and NIHSS are preferred. You may float to other areas as needed; EPIC is the charting system used.

  • Float to other units as needed based on department needs.
  • Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on the unit.
  • Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.

Description:We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit.The position involves working 12-hour night shifts with a minimum requirement of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.In cases of extreme need, floating to other areas may be required.The unit primarily handles patients with congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4.Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.There is a charge nurse on duty who may also take an assignment.Nurse aides may be present on the unit, with a ratio of 1 nurse to 50 aides.The unit is equipped with CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen, and ventilators.Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed.Weekend and holiday shifts are required.Floating may be necessary based on departmental needs.Scrubs are navy blue.The charting system used is EPIC.ACLS and BLS certifications are required for this role.
