Description:Hiring Process includes profile review and interview with unit manager.RNs are required to titrate drips which include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control.RNs must be comfortable looking at telemetry strips and escalating to a physician when concerns arise.Charge nurse takes assignments as needed.There is one nurse aide for the floor when patient count is nine or higher.RT equipment available includes CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, and vents.Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed.Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.Holiday requirements are applicable.Floating requirements will be determined by departmental needs.Navy blue scrubs are to be worn.Charting system used is EPIC.This position is in an acute care setting.Nurses are expected to manage common diagnoses including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.
