Description:Hiring process includes a candidate interview with the clinical team.Unit operates with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:4.Common diagnoses treated include congestive heart failure, hypertension, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.Registered nurses are required to titrate drips, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.Charge nurse takes assignments while providing leadership.Nurse assistants support the unit with a ratio of 1:5.Respiratory equipment used includes CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow devices.Self-scheduling and block scheduling is allowed.Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of six weekends in a six-week schedule.Holiday shifts are also required as per department needs.Floating may be required based on department needs.Scrubs are navy blue in color.Unit-specific orientation is assigned during the first week of employment.Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment.Charting is done using EPIC.No BSN is required for this position.All applicants must hold the necessary nursing license.
