Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is hiring a RN Mother Baby Postpartum. This full-time role (36 hours/week) includes night shift (7p–7a), rotating weekends/holidays, and self-scheduling.

You will deliver direct nursing care, coordinate unit activities, educate patients and families, administer meds, monitor vitals, and assist with discharge planning.

Qualifications include BSN preferred, Virginia RN license, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Virginia RN license required.
• Active multi-state license via NLC; not required to be VA resident.
• BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation within 12 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per hospital policies.
• Coordinate unit activities and supervise tasks.
• Educate patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor vitals.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the care team.
