Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother Baby/Birth Response Team on the Night shift. You will deliver comprehensive patient care, coordinate nursing actions, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to meet age-specific needs.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating care, educating families, and advocating for patients while engaging in process improvement initiatives within EPIC-based workflows.

Qualifications

• Graduate of professional nursing program from an accredited college.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on unit.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care for patients of all ages.
• Provide nursing coordination and individualized care with a team-based approach.
• Educate patients and families; act as patient advocate and resource.
• Contribute to performance improvement activities and strive to reduce length of stay.
• Plan care and adjust based on changes in patient status.
