Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum Mother-Baby Unit in Norfolk, VA. This full-time night shift (7a-7p) role includes caring for new mothers and their babies in a 30-bed unit, following standard nursing processes and patient education.

Eligible candidates must have an RN license in Virginia, a completed RN degree, and BLS within 90 days of hire. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• RN Degree REQUIRED.
• Virginia RN License REQUIRED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to new mothers and infants using the nursing process.
• Assess, promote healing, and educate on self-care during postpartum stay.
• Support mothers with rooming-in and newborn care instructions.
