Job summary

LewisGale Regional Health System in Salem, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift in Women’s Services. You will provide direct nursing care and collaborate with the clinical team to implement care plans in a high‑volume setting.

This role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, Virginia RN license (multi‑state privilege), BLS, and Neonate Resuscitation within 12 months. Self-scheduling is available and you’ll work 36 hours weekly with rotating weekends and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• RN with multi-state privilege by the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit activities and assure accountability of all assigned tasks.
• Instruct and educate patients and family members.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
