Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother and Baby unit, for part-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role focuses on leading patient care, collaborating with physicians, and family education in a high-volume maternity setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, current RN licensure in the state, and a commitment to safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; 4-year degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN licensure in applicable state; CPI certification within three months of hire for specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents patient care under supervision of Nurse Manager.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to educate patient and family.
• Maintains communication of care plan using SBARQ and other tools.
• Operates equipment and administers medications following five rights and safety standards.
