This RN Medsurg role is on our Oncology Unit at Cobb Hospital.

Schedule: 7pm-7am, 36 hours/week.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring high-quality, safe patient care. They work in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practices. RN competencies are aligned with these models and Wellstar Values.

All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the Scope of Practice, and the Code of Ethics by the American Nurses Association. They uphold patient advocacy, system policies, and service excellence.

• Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice and critical thinking, ensuring individualized care.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity and patient-specific characteristics.
• Partner with patients and families using appropriate communication methods, ensuring patient goals are central to the care plan.
• Practice according to current clinical standards.

Minimum Education and Licenses

• Associates or Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).

• Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates eligible.
