Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital in Bucyrus, OH. The role focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while ensuring continuity across shifts and supervising nursing staff.

Requirements include Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS. Preferred applicants may have 2+ years of nursing experience, telemetry, and PALS certification.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.
• Preferred: telemetry experience and PALS certification for charge trained nurses.
• Two (2) or more years of nursing experience may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the MedSurg unit.
• Ensure continuity of care between shifts by supervising nursing assistants, LPNs and staff.
• Participate in patient and family teaching; advocate for patients and the organization’s mission.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Bucyrus location.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
