Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital in Bucyrus, OH. You will provide direct patient care across the pediatric to geriatric spectrum in a surgical environment and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia staff to ensure patient safety.

Required OR experience, Ohio RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS, plus PALS certification. Preferred: 2–3 years OR experience; strong teamwork and adaptability are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of operating room experience.
• Current State of Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations in the surgical setting.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesia staff about patient condition during care.
• Assist with maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
• Assess operating room equipment readiness and obtain supplies for cases.
• Monitor, position and assist patient during procedures.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our SurgeryDepartment at our Bucyruslocation.

Position Overview

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of one year of work experience in an operating room.

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.

• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.

• Current PALS certification.

Preferred:

• Minimum of two – three years of work experience in the operating room.
