Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital in Bucyrus, OH. The role provides direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations in the surgical setting, with ongoing collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia staff.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: minimum of one year operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations in the surgical environment.
• Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff about patient condition.
• Assesses ventilation, hemostasis, circulation; assesses consciousness, provides pain management, and ensures patient safety until transfer to another unit.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our SurgeryDepartment at our Bucyrus location.

Position Overview

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition. Responsible for assessing and maintaining adequate ventilation, hemostasis, and circulation; assessing level of consciousness, providing pain management, and ensuring the safety of the patient until transfer to another unit. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

• Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
