Job summary

MedAire is seeking a Coordinating Nurse in Phoenix, AZ to manage routine medical activities and coordinate between clients, physicians, hospitals, and providers. The role emphasizes triage, case management, and adherence to HIPAA and cost containment policies.

The ideal candidate holds an AZ RN license (active or pending temporary license within 2 weeks) with ACLS certification and at least 3 years of ICU/ER experience, with prior flight nursing or international assistance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Arizona with ability to obtain a temporary license within 2 weeks.
• Permanent AZ licensure must be obtained within 4 months of start date.
• Current ACLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming calls to resolve medical situations and escalate when needed.
• Monitor and manage open cases through to closure with quality and compliance.
• Provide pre-travel and evacuation medical assistance and coordinate evacuation services.
• Review case records and report findings to evaluate service quality and compliance.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and protect client information.
• Implement cost containment strategies in managed cases.
