Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Telemetry department. This full-time night-shift role includes a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and opportunities for professional growth.

The RN will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and coordinate with physicians and families. Qualifications include a valid state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and basic arrhythmia interpretation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred; MS-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the Telemetry Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

BLS certificate upon hire

ACLS certificate within 30 days

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days

Ventilator Management experience preferred

Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar; preferred

BSN preferred
