Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Telemetry unit on the Night shift. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, monitor cardiac status, and collaborate with physicians to adjust treatment as needed.

Your responsibilities include patient and family teaching, coordination with other nurses, and ensuring quality care within the unit's scope. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
