RWJBarnabas Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-VIII at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This full-time day shift (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) includes every other weekend.

RN role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive environment. You will provide patient assessments, safe medication administration, care coordination with physicians, EMR documentation (EPIC), and patient education to

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC) desired
• Orthopedics and Bariatric patient population experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes with sound judgment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and with evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support informed decision making
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care transitions
• Engage in a collaborative team environment and pursue continuing education and growth
