RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical Unit-IV at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role is full-time nights, requiring strong clinical judgment, compassionate communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should hold an active New Jersey RN license, BLS certification, and ideally a BSN. EMR experience (EPIC) is preferred to support efficient, safe patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN with NJ endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; EMR experience a plus (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene and advocate for patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families clearly to support understanding and next steps
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team and pursue ongoing professional growth
