RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. The role covers a Step Down unit with hourly pay and a focus on safe, patient-centered care.

The RN will assess patients, administer treatments, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Strong communication and ongoing professional growth are essential.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening when needed
Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers
Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions
Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to drive coordinated care
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth
