Job summary

Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) seeks a compassionate RN/Medical Services Coordinator to lead health support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will supervise Case Nurses and Medical Assistants, coordinate medical services, manage medications, maintain records, and advocate to meet each person’s health goals.

BHSSC is a public educational cooperative under South Dakota law.

Qualifications

• Active South Dakota RN license.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to pass criminal records check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training and support for Case Nurses and Medical Assistants.
• Provide Medication Aide training and recertification training for DD staff.
• Conduct evaluations with Case Nurses and Medical Assistants.
• Assign caseloads and manage your own caseload of people supported.
• Maintain health goals and ensure routine and emergency care needs are met.
• Coordinate healthcare services and facilitate access to appointments, medications and resources.
