Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures patient safety throughout care.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and may float as needed.
• Administers medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols when required.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately within the team.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
