Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a 32-bed medical-surgical unit. The RN will apply the nursing process to assess and care for patients, collaborate with hospitalists, neurology, nephrology, and other specialists, and participate in quality initiatives and EHR documentation.

Requirements include a RN license in NC, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the applicable state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; telehealth licensing may apply.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed.
