Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 32-bed medical-surgical unit. We provide care across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses and oversee peritoneal dialysis for the facility.

Collaborating with hospitalists, neurology, nephrology, and other specialists, the RN will engage in patient-centered care, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. BSN preferred; RN licensure and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state or single-state privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols and procedures.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and communicates effectively with the team.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
