Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Registered Nurses to join the Medical Telemetry Unit at Temple, TX. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week with night shifts from 7pm to 7am.

You will care for a varied telemetry population in a 38-bed unit at Memorial Hospital, with a focus on direct, individualized patient care and opportunities for professional development, education, and advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
