Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX, is seeking Registered Nurses for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am) on a 38-bed Medical Telemetry Unit within a major teaching hospital. The role offers flexible scheduling and a strong team environment focused on high-quality patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an RN program, hold ADN, and be licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, including cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other care team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
