Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Registered Nurses for the Telemetry Unit in Temple, Texas. The unit delivers direct and individualized care to a varied patient population with focus on cardiac monitoring and rapid response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN program with ADN required.
• Must be licensed to practice by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Experience in a telemetry/acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized care in the Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor patients with cardiac monitoring and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
• A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
