Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, Texas is seeking Registered Nurses for the Medical Telemetry Unit. This 38-bed unit focuses on providing a high level of direct and individualized care across a range of diagnoses.

Nights, full-time, 36 hours per week, 7pm-7am, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities for learning. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of RN Nursing, hold an ADN (BSN preferred), be licensed in Texas, and possess BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized care in the Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Participate in unit initiatives and ongoing education opportunities.

Population

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio‑cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
