Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking Registered Nurses for a full-time, nights 7pm-7am position in the Medical Telemetry Unit. The unit focuses on high-level, individualized care for a 38-bed environment with strong opportunities for learning and growth.

Candidate must be a graduate of an RN program, hold ADN (or higher) and Texas RN licensure. Benefits include health and welfare, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and PTO from day one.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Medical Telemetry Unit.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio‑cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
