Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time days. Starting pay is $37.50/hr with a 36-hour schedule and rotating weekends/holidays. Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Grow through the Clinical Ladder program with potential salary increases based on experience and advancement criteria. This role requires RN licensure and BLS, and supports strong patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Registered Nurse license required (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed.
Administer medications and treatments, monitor for adverse effects.
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
Coordinate patient care with medical staff and departments.
Document care activities and outcomes in the medical record.
Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve health outcomes.
Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
Supervise and delegate care to health team members.
Engage in professional development and performance improvement.
Respond to code situations and intervene to stabilize patients.
