Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Department for a 100% onsite role based in the greater Chicagoland area. The selected candidate will coordinate and deliver direct nursing care and collaborate with the care team.

This role offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and requires an Illinois RN license and BLS certification. Shifts are 12 hours, nights, full-time, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree in Nursing or higher.
• Active Illinois RN license or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care and outcomes.
• Provide complex nursing care and delegate tasks to Care Team members according to unit competencies.
• Monitor and ensure quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.
• Pursue professional development opportunities and maintain operational efficiency of the Patient Care Center.
• Support the hospital’s policy, mission, and vision while addressing patient, family, and physician needs.
