Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, Illinois, is seeking a licensed RN to join our full-time day shift team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

This role supports a 36-hour week, days 6:45am–7:15pm, rotating weekends/holidays, with eligible sign-on bonus and opportunities for growth via our Clinical Ladder program.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
• RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate factors affecting patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise and delegate care within the team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations and provide interventions.
