Job summary

Carle Health seeks an RN for the NT6 Observation unit. This 43-bed unit provides acute care with 24- to 48-hour patient stays, a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.

You will perform admissions assessments, develop care plans, administer therapies, and ensure safety, documentation, and communication across the care team.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS within 30 days
• RN License upon Hire
• Education: Nursing Diploma
• Work Experience: RN > 1YR

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment upon admission and develops plan of care.
• Implements and modifies plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting hazards.
• Attends 5 of 6 staff meetings per year.
• Assess IV sites every 4 hours and start new IVs per policy.
