Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment
• CPR certification is required
• BLS certification is required of ALL nurses within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and discharge planning per nursing standards.
• Documents changes in patient assessment and communicates with health care team.
• Provides initial assessment and reassessments per standards and policy.
• Develops and implements individualized plan of care with family and other disciplines.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge planning integration.
• Maintains professional standards and participates in quality improvement activities.
