Medical City Las Colinas in Lewisville, TX is seeking an RN for Med Surg Tele on a PRN basis to cover night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team to support positive clinical outcomes.

As a registered nurse, you will assess patients, administer medications, document care, educate families, and advocate for patients while upholding hospital standards and the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Associate's Degree okay to start, Bachelors Degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred

Responsabilités

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
