Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg Tele on a PRN basis to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will participate in assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the care team, ensuring safe and effective treatment for patients during night shifts with rotating weekends.

The role emphasizes advocacy for patients and families, education on treatment plans, and adherence to established nursing models.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
• Associate's Degree okay to start, Bachelor’s Degree required within 24 months of hire into RN position
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, report changes promptly
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in medical records
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures
