Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg Tele on a PRN basis to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The role covers night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends, collaborating with the care team and documenting care in the patient record.

The RN will educate patients and families, advocate for patients, and uphold nursing standards to ensure optimal outcomes in a large health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate's Degree acceptable; Bachelor's required within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license; BLS certification.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
