Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care. You will collaborate with the care team and ensure documentation aligns with state standards and nursing models.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, TX RN (or compact) license, BLS certification, and 1 year acute care experience preferred. This is a full‑time night shift with rotating weekends and strong mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree acceptable to start; Bachelor's required within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during each shift, report changes.
• Administer medications and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
